Eligibility:

New employees or newly eligible employees have the opportunity to enroll in medical and dental insurance and flexible spending plan.  Eligible employees are those who work 20+ hours per week or those who are contracted at 50% or greater for a minimum of 90 days in a regular position.  PERA retirees are not eligible.

    The District provides:

• $20,000 Life Insurance 

All BVSD employees are coverered by Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA);  PERA also offers BVSD employees a supplemental life insurance policy.  Visit www.copera.org or call 303-832-9550.

BVSD offers voluntary 401K (through PERA), 457, and 403B tax deferred savings plans.

For information on rates, see the 'Monthly Health & Dental Rates' sheet.  Enrollment forms must be submitted to Human Resources within 30 days of starting work or becoming eligible.  Insurance coverage begins the 1st of the month following the first day of work.
