| Community involvement keeps it all about the kids |
The Boulder Daily Camera recently ran the following guest opinion from CBOC chairperson Dee Perry.
In recent weeks, schools throughout Boulder Valley School District have celebrated the start of construction projects which will bring much needed facilities improvements. These ground breaking events mark the fruition of efforts that began four years ago with a deliberate, community-based process. As a member of the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee, I think it is important for the Boulder Valley School District community to know that a very thoughtful, conscientious process is being used by the district to plan for, design and construct the projects authorized by the taxpayers of BVSD. | | Read more . . . | |

| | New building possible for Columbine |
The recent sale of the Washington School site may make it possible for students at Columbine Elementary to enjoy a brand new school in coming years. BVSD administration is planning to recommend to the Board of Education that the proceeds from the sale be committed to a rebuilding the neighborhood school in north central Boulder.

The new Casey Middle School begins to take shape
After months of nearly weekly meetings, this week the Casey Middle School design advisory team got to see the concepts and ideas they’ve been discussing take shape in the schematic design. The schematic design is still preliminary in nature and subject to change, but it is a good representation of how the final building will likely look and function.

| | City/County of Broomfield partners with BVSD to bolster improvements at Broomfield High |
In a show of support for Broomfield High, the City and County of Broomfield at its February 26 meeting approved the use of municipal services expansion fees of just over $700,000 to add an eighth lane to the track and create additional parking at the school. | | Read more . . . | |
