Boulder Valley School District is pleased to offer parents the ability to manage their child’s meal account over the Internet by using PayForIt, an on-line school lunch account management tool. PayForIt may be accessed via this BVSD Web site.
This service technology benefits schools, parents and students. Cashiers will spend much less time taking deposits at the cashier station, parents do not have to worry about the money not reaching school and students never have to worry about not having money to pay for lunch.
With PayForIt , parents can log in at any time to make a deposit to their child’s account, view their child’s account balance, set up recurring deposits to their child’s account, set up e-mail notifications when their child’s account falls below a certain dollar amount, or request a report showing what the child has purchased on their account. Payment processed by 8pm should post to the student’s account the next morning, in most cases.
There is a $2 convenience fee that is assessed to each purchase transaction, and a minimum of $30 purchase per transaction. The $2 fee is charged only when you add money to your child’s account. There is no fee when purchases are made from your child’s account. If you have multiple children enrolled in the District, you can add money to each child’s account during the same purchase transaction and pay only one $2 fee.
Transactions processed by PayForIt are safe and secure. PayForIt utilizes LinkPoint payment technology and security standards developed by First Data Corporation, an industry leader in electronic transaction processing.
If you wish to use a Mac computer to process a transaction, you must use the Firefox internet browser or Safari 3.1. You may download Firefox for free by visiting www.mozilla.com.
If you choose not to use PayForIt for credit card transactions, the District continues to accept cash and checks at each school cafeteria.
If you have any questions about any aspect of BVSD’s use of PayForIt , please contact Chuck McElwain at (303)-447-5008 or chuck.mcelwain@bvsd.org.
